"You will be amazed by what are you missing!"
featuring Drs. Paul Karpecki and Craig Thomas.

Dear Doctor,

What are you missing image? If you are like me, there have been more occasions than I would like when patients have presented with low grade contact lens problems, without clear definition being seen as to the nature of the problems. The patient just wasn't doing as well as they should regardless of the type of lens, lens care products, and wearing schedule.

Annoyingly, standard biomicroscopy looked just fine.

Well it turns out that there is a serious new tool that
provides a new level of insight into the health of the cornea that was once mainly in the hands of corneal specialists, the Konan Medical specular microscope. This is affordable for every office and is now being routinely used by the who's who of Optometry and Ophthalmology to get a completely new detailed view of the cornea's most critical structure, the endothelium. It is a fantastic tool for patient education and compliance encouragement.

Not just a tool for evaluating contact lens patients, this diagnostic system is also invaluable or required for pre- and post-operative management for many of the newest corneal treatments and surgeries.  Specular microscopy should be carefully considered for patients that may be undergoing these procedures.  This includes candidates for ICLs / phakic IOLs, refractive surgery, keratoconus / corneal cross-linking, DLEK/DSAEK, and cataract surgery, to name a few. These are exactly the patients that we see every day.

But it gets better, specular microscopy enjoys one of the very highest rates of reimbursement of any diagnostic eye care procedure. Many of our customers report that the CellChek XL has paid for itself within the first three months.   This is a technician administered test that takes only about 20 seconds.

We are quite proud of the fact that our customers explain the benefits of Konan specular microscopes better that we can.  I would like to invite you to one of our web conferences to hear Paul Karpecki, OD discussing:  who is using this, what it will do for you, where does is fit in my practice, why it is important, and how I can get paid for offering this service to my patients.

Space is limited and we tend to fill each web conference.  Please follow the link below to register for the next evening events coming to a web connected computer near you!
